Nonetheless it remains popular, is both enduring and durable and can be used to warm up a room and make it glow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-c0bbf\"><strong><u>Brass Tacks<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.livinginstylegallery.com\/blog\/hashtags\/Brass\">#Brass<\/a> used appropriately can be used to warm a room.<\/li><li>It doesn\u2019t rust.<\/li><li>These days brass doesn\u2019t need much elbow grease. Modern brass is given a protective lacquer coat to protect it reducing the need to polish.<\/li><li>A signature brass or sculptural piece with clean lines can create a focal point.<\/li><li>It\u2019s a fine line between a touch of class and a too much brass. Too much can overpower a room.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-d82gu\">Traditionally the use of brass in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livinginstylegallery.com\/blog\/hashtags\/interiordesign\">#interiordesign<\/a> was limited to fixtures and fittings, sofa legs, wood-inlays and the occasional pair of candlesticks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-99qit\">But from the mid 1950\u2019s it grew in popularity \u2013 particularly in mid-century Italy where designers such at<a href=\"https:\/\/www.livinginstylegallery.com\/product-page\/1970-s-side-table-by-tomasso-barbi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u> #Tomasso Barbi<\/u><\/a>, and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.livinginstylegallery.com\/product-page\/1970-s-table-lamp-by-willy-daro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u> #Willy Dar<\/u><\/a>o incorporated more brass into their furniture designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-d3rsm\">Italian Designer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livinginstylegallery.com\/blog\/hashtags\/Luciano\">#Luciano<\/a> Frigerio took brass to another level (perhaps because of his passion for Jazz Music). He was known for creating larger sleek and signature metal pieces &#8211; Bedframes, mirrors and side tables &#8211; which were often fashioned or sculpted out from brass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-59kvq\">The popularity of brass in certain circles endures today and modern designers such as Thai artist #<a href=\"https:\/\/www.apiwatchitapanya.com\/4th-project\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u>Aripat Chitapanya<\/u><\/a> are unashamedly bold in their use of this metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-55bo8\">Today we really want to blow our own trumpets and don\u2019t mind being brazen about it.
